namely basically almost all of them: In Gundam 00 a Gundam is powered by a GN Drive. The same is true in other fictional settings that have Mechas. or in other words: I'd rather play a board game where the the machanisms make sense within the thematic setting defined for the game. I'd rather play SW: Rebellion or the War of the Ring or Twilight Imperium or Spirit Island etc. For a few years we've been in the golden age of board games and there are literally hundreds of games where theme and machanisms tie into one another splendidly. However I don't play it because that's not what I (and most board gamers in this day and age) am looking for. I acknowledge that Chess is what it is: an abstract 1v1 strategy game that has been popular for a very long time and is played by many on a very high level. but, if you don't know how to play chess at a high level, well, just complain that the king is to weak, which, is essentially, the gist of the original post, again, because you don't get that the king is supposed to be weak, just as the ion canon gives the pilot lacking a mecha in ace time the chance to destroy a hotsteel and still win. but surprise, you can still checkmate with the king. its not fair that the queen is more powerful than the king. ![]() The tracker can also detect motion, remind you of your medication, function as a “smart” leash for your pet (simply attach it to your dog or cat’s collar), and of course track and find items.Originally posted by Breaknecks: (.) i mean, take chess.
